Her Story: She woke up and remembered who she was. For too long she let others ideas of who she was and should be cloud her head. During a Full Moon Ritual, she closed her eyes and spoke to her ancestors. They told her stories of how they manifested her to be EXACTLY as she is. From then on, their affirmations swirled about her head, like a crown that could NEVER be taken away.

There is an unspoken connection between black bodies and the starry sky. The more we learn about it, the more connected we become. I am continually exploring this connection on canvas.
